Out of SL preview?

Are there 3d models anywhere onto which an in-development texture for SL can be applied in order to preview it more effectively outside of SL?

I'm talking about taking that shiny new suit texture and slapping it onto a male upper body in something like Cinema 4d, or better yet, having a male upper and male lower body at the same time!
The worst part of texture development for avatars (e.g for skin) is getting the damned things to line up correctly, and this would be much easier if you could do so outside of SL (as the preview facility in-game doesn't allow you to preview a texture on the upper body while showing the lower body for comparison).

Click on Downloads at the top of this page. Then on the menu at the left of the Downloads Page, click on Avatar Files. The Second Life Mannequin package has the avatar models in both Poser and OBJ formats. The OBJ's can be read by almost all 3D packages. The Poser files can be frad by Poser and DAZ Studio. You'll be able to preview your clothing and skin textures in whatever your 3D package of choice is.
