I need help. I am trying to recreate a fur texture I found on SL. I am sure they used a template of some sort and from what it looks like they somehow combed the texture to look like fur. I need to know what program can do this. I tried doing this in Paint Shop Pro 8, but I can't figure it out. I am guessing that it was done in Photoshop with some plugin. Anyways Here is the picture of the texture. Mabye you can show me how to recreate this.

Please help me. I am desperate!

My guess is hand editing with a Smudge tool. It could be any number of photo editing packages including PSP.

Might be Corel Painter 9. Working with it is like working with real paint.

It was done by putting down low density dots or noise in the picture then using motion blur to give the fur texture a base then used a tablet and a smudge tool to give it detail. Looks like it was done over the bump maps included in the SL folder. Looking at it, it is very well done.

TO me it kind of looks something like: render clouds, Distort>wave, blur>gaussian blur> maybe a little linerar blur, then hand smudging down the fur, the left and right sides are obviously mirrored to save a little time but yeah its pretty well done, and almost assuredly Photoshop work.
