Has anyone ever got the following message or something familar, "Not Enough Memory you must close some type of Application" when you try to select new transparent image?
The weird thing is its not happen with psp 9 but its happen with my favorite psp 7 yet it did let me open a file I was planning on using for ornate windows.
I have ran into this really annoying problem with making windows. I had had beautiful ornate window, was almost finished I hit the short cut key to reduce the size of pixel based on what they said in guide. The "Poof" image vanished couldn't undo it. Tried it again same thing happen when I pressed ctrl X.
Any one else know why?

I use PSP7...and I haven't had that happen to me as you described w/ PSP7, but then I havent tried to make a window yet either.

I will tell you that Crtl X is the cut shortcut, so yeah, it will make whatever you had selected disappear, but ctrl z (undo) or pasting it as a new layer or selection should retrieve it after the ctrl-x.

If you keep having problems w/ shortcuts, I would go to the menus and select from there.

Might try making sure you dont have tons of programs running in the background w/ a memory error, or dont have a lot of images open all at one time.

Wish I could be of more help.

Its a memory leak with PSP7. If you have the money get 10 or ll. I went for 11 and loved it.

I am a long-time PSP user. I am currently using 10, and love it. I have no problems creating transparent or semi-transparent TGA files for SL, and have not yet experienced any crashes either.

I use PSP 7 and have occasionally had that problem. I just close the program and restart my computer, which always fixes it. (Thank goodness it doesn't happen too often!)

Thanks Its been bad texture creating day. I am less familar with psp 9. I tried 10 and found it really annoying for someone who is more geared towards doing actual art work.
Friend gave me older verison of adobe illustrator I am having major difficulties getting familar with it.
I spent some money on psp 7 and 9 for dummies I really rather stay with these verisions now.
I did try to restart, will try again.
The not enough memory message seems to be happening all day with psp 7.
I am not sure yet how to get the tools in psp 9 how to make it look 7. I got two full verisons not upgrades, since I couldn't find older upgrade version of 9 to buy. Does anyone know if this could that be causing the problem?

Sadly restarting didn't work but it briefly worked when I lowered the new transparency settings. Really, really frusterated because I can't make my window arch texture series right now.
Oh well.

If you insist on using PSP 7 then I suggest that you increase the amount of vitural memory to 1 gig on windows. that will also solve your problem. If you ever opened the task manager w/ psp was running you will notice it regularly eats 120k of memory. increase the virtual memory in the system control panel shortcut.
