Hey all, I just got out of a great great clothing class hosted by Jennifer McLuhan. Unfortunatly by the end, she was swamped with questions, and had to go. I got one of mine answered, but that left me with another..
I figured out how to import my Avatar Manniquin into Daz, I got it all set up. Jennifer said to save the clothing files as a .tiff and I could get them into Daz to preview on the Manniquin, but how? If I try to import them they don't see tiff files, if I try to open one it wants to close out the avatar model. I'm in the works of looking through the forums here and over at Daz to see if I can find the answer, but figured I'd ask, incase someone can answer before I find anything.
Thanks all, I apprecite it!

Hello! I was in that class, too. On the left, after you've imported your manequin in DAZ, you'll see a menu called "Surface". The small window under it details the content of your scene -- probably something like this: SL Female -- material_head -- material_lowerbody -- material_upperbody To "wear" a shirt, select "material_upperbody". In the Basic tab, under Color (leave this as white to avoid changing the colour of your shirt), you'll see a drop down menu. Click there, "Browse for image" and select your file... et voilĂ !

I must not have the right models, or it is total user error! After I upload the .obj model all I have under my scene is SL_Avatar_Model and Default Camera. Am I doing something horribly wrong? =( I don't have anything else in the files I got from the SL site except the male and female model .obj file.
PSS I can't remeber where the 'Basics' tab is, I know at one point I had this opened, can't for the life of me remeber how I did it or where it is..

That sounds right, under scene you only have the camera and the manequin, yes. Is your Surface tab visible? If not: go to View > Tabs > Surface The "Basic" tab is part of the "Surface" main tab. It only appears if you select an element of your scene (like, for example, material_lowerbody, which is a part of the main object, ie the manequin). By the way, have you read this thread yet? Robin explains all of this much better than me /109/20/78145/1.html

OMH thank you so much, you know I actually searched the forums for anything like that post before I asked, obviously not good enough..Thank you so much! Nope didn't have the surface tab opened, found the basic tab and got my template pasted onto the avatar! Thank you again, for the help and for showing me the post to the link, now I can just visit that for reference instead of bothering you guys =)
Honest, I did look..I guess not good enough but I did none the less! =p
