Trouble with skirts

I've gotten the hang of using the templates to do my clothes, but the skirts vex me. They do not, er, hug the ass as tight as I would like.

I've surmised this involves prims not templates, but i'm a total novice... how do i set up something like that?

Skirt prims

Well, two ways, one looks better, one is simpler.

1) Create your skirt as a pair of pants. Then, place a hollowed prim so it is basicly, on your crotch. This will block off the "gap" between the legs, and give the appearance that the skirt stretches across the legs, rather than them being a pair of shorts. That is, youd need to wear the pants, and attatch the hollow prim to "pelvis." With a proper texture/color match, it will look just fine.

2) use a large handful of prims to sculpt a round poofy skirt, and attatch it to your Pelvis, also. Then, if it soits your style, wear a pair of underwear that matches the pattern on the skirt, to disguise the prim-clipping that may occur.

The second option tends to look better, but the first option will give you the *snug* look you're going for.
