I have noticed that when I try to make a dress using the system skirt, (not prim) that the system skirt always seems to be ballooned out from my waist, not a smooth transaction from the top to the skirt.
am I missing something (I set the sliders to the minimum so as to have a tight fit)
Thanks in advance

Nope, that's the way it fits. The only solution I found is to fit a prim belt around the waist to offset the bulge. (^_^)y

Rha, I think if you make the skirt top band come all the way up to the top of the template (those different colored sections on Chip Midnight's templates) the skirt fits tightly at that point and the poof is less noticable. A low waist on a mesh skirt always has that gap.......and a high waist does not. That's one reason I seldom make mesh skirts anymore.

Another thing you may try Rhaorth, is when you're making the 'glitch pants' to go with the skirt, make them using 'underpants' as opposed to 'pants' in the appearance mode. I find that the waist is much higher this way and no gaps. Fabric is another variable to keep in mind, as with almost everything certain fabrics work better than others.... I'm sure you probably already know this, but if your shape is mod and of course copy, you can decrease your 'rear end' etc....this really helps when wearing skirts.....

pocket yep know all about the modding the shape and such but a glitch pants on either the pants or the underpants layer will not solve what I am seeing I will pop into SL later and take a snapshot to show exactly what I am refering to I think maybe ppl are confusing my description with something else (my own fault)

I haven't seen a skirtlayer skirt that does not have that gap. Maybe with just the right camera angle, yea, or some touchups after the screen grab... But that gap is always there. (^_^)y
