Hey all,
Anyone happen to be familiar with this program? I just purchased it in attempts to hopefully learn it, I've been futzing around blindly on my own and following the few, and I do mean few tutorials I can. Does anyone happen to know a website that has some great tutorials to follow? Preferably starter ones, I know how to open it up and that is about it. It was a digital download (I know, but it was on sale) and didnt come with much of a basic starter guide. Eventually I would like to use this program to be able to bake clothing textures and use them in SL, I assumed this would be possable via it..

So, when importing the SL avi into Carrara do I want to use the .obj or the .cr2, does it matter?
After I learn to use the program this will probably be answered but, once I've got the clothing texture like I'd like will I be converting this to photoshop, then to SL, or straight to SL? I know with pro 7 they have digital paint with it, but I assume I'll be creating the basic texture in Photoshop then uploading it onto the avi inside Carrara?
Will I need a converter program, to be able to convert textures made in Carrara over to Photoshop and or SL?

Sooo many questions, so little to read. Any help would be apprecited greatly!
Thanks a ton
Marijane..

Most likely you have already been looking at some of these.

And your right there really isnt that many tutorials for carrara there. I played with the Carrara 7
beta, but I didnt have that much time to put into it. It was surprising that there wasnt even
a manual out at that point. I think they were welcoming people to learn it and contribute
tutorials for it.
I have Carrara 5 Pro which I use occasionally. The thing to keep in mind is the tabs at the top of the screen which represent the different room types for Assembly, Modeling, Texturing and Rendering.
Until you do find more info it can help to just try things. Import or create an object, even if it is only a cube, texture it and render it. Whatever you have to do, then go back and study the details of the tools.

There are a number of very talented people that hang out at the Daz forums. I am sure you will
get plenty of reponses over at this link.

Also it helps to make your questions as specific as you can. :)

Good Luck!
