I've read and i've created, ect ect ect, now the really dumb question.
how do i get textures ect, into sl so i can use them.

At the top of the SL UI there is a file drop drop down. Click upload image....it's at the top of the list. Navigate to your texture on your computer and click it. You'll get a preview window..............if it's the correct texture/image click it. The upload will start automatically. It cost your L$10 for each texture/image you upload.

You might want to click on file, edit, view, etc. and investigate what each choice does, or at least read them all and try the ones that look most interesting, useful, or easy to figure out.
