Hi!
I'm new, and have just bought my first house. M question is how I can change the textures of the floor or wall? When I try to, I just get an arrow with a padlock on it, and nothing happens when I click...

Maybe a stupid question, but I hope you can help me! :-)

Hi Thobias!

Is the house modifiable? If it isn't, then you cannot change the textures.

On modifiable objects, do the following to change textures:
-Right click on the object, select EDIT (or click the BUILD button on the bottom of you screen, then select the EDIT icon at the top of the Edit Menu
-Go to the TEXTURES tab when you have the object selected
-You can either change all entire prim's texture at once, or select the SELECT TEXTURE option and edit only one side of the prim (I don't remember the exact name of this option...but it's the one right above EDIT LINKED OBJECTS)
-in the TEXTURE tab you will have 2 thumbnails: one for texture on the left, and one for color on the right.
-Choose the one on the left by clicking in the thumbnail...your inventory will open and you can select the texture from there.

Best,
~Ari

Thank you for your good, and fast, answer!

I couldn't do the way you described, but I created a new object with very little height and used it as a carpet... :)

So all in all, it worked!

Thanks again!
