After 6 days and countless hours of research ect... I still cant seem to figure out how to remove a background in my flower textures that is inside my flower itself. I have had great luck making textures with flowers ect that only require me to remove the main background and make it transparent. Can anyone tell me how to do the same with flower textures that require me to make some of the inside of the pict transparent???? ie; inside the plant itself, between leaves or stems etc are still importing to game as white rather than clear

Make sure whatever areas of the image you want to be transparent are black on the alpha channel. For more info on this, see the transparency guide, stickied at the top of this forum.

Im using the marching ants which I can only get to show the entire plant to white out in my alpha leaving the outside black. What I cant figure out is how to get the marching ants to define the items inside my flower testure that I want to be transparent along with the outline of the image itself Currently I am whiting out my entire plant which puts a white background in areas I wish to be transparent.

You should still be able to make the inner parts transparent after having made the outer parts transparent.
Alternatively, in most programs holding down the shift key will allow you to add to your selection. You can then select the parts outside your plant, hold down shift and select the inside parts to add them to your selection.

Another great big help in cutting out parts of a picture is learning how to do channel masks. Scott Kelby's book, "The Photoshop Channels Book" is a BIG, BIG HELP!!!

From: Lizziey Whittenton 6 days of hunting Have you tried making a black and white copy of your flower layer and pasting the whole thing into the alpha channel? You may have to invert the colour and also adjust the contrast, etc, but it works for some of the complicated textures with lots of holy bits. Saves a lot of time manually cutting things out.
