How do I make my neckless Glimour?

Ive seen people with jewlery and it Glimours and Sparkles, how does it get to be like that?

And if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it.

Please please please, if you're going to make sparkly jewelry have it sparkle just once every 20 seconds or something. All that jewelry that sparkles constantly looks soooo dumb...

Agreed. In fact, it is a regular part of my jewelry buying ritual to, when possible, remove the bling scripts and clear the partical effects from the jewelry I buy. I do not like the constant flashing and flickering and it's just a pain to type /bling off all the time. I think this is one effect that should be used sparingly.

I don't want to play spelling Nazi here but I think you mean "necklace glimmer". I actually came into this thread thinking "what's a Glimour and why would you want to build one without a neck?" I thought that a Glimour was some sort of secret SL thing. I'm all sad and pouty now, look.

Or at least properly. It's like somebody had the idea and then it was copied incredibly badly, then everybody else just copied the bad copy. I mean, do people actually like it like that or is it just that nobody's taken the effort to actually look at how things sparkle in real life? In my opinion, the ideal 'bling' script should be activated by movement, flash once or twice before being unstartable for a while and possibly have some kind of randomizer as to whether it goes off or not. But then what do I know?

I have a script a very subtle bling script you can have?
I sell it with my jewelry textures and gems but IM me in world and I will pass it over for free assuming you havent already aquired one?

That is very generous of you LillyBeth. And I am interested in your jewelry textures as well (I have been thinking of taking a stab at making some simple jewelry). I will look you up in-world.

You know, one thing that might help all of these bling scripts, at least the more obnoxious ones, is to have them off by default ... it is a major pain to have to shut off all the bling every time you log in or teleport. If they were off by default I wouldn't have to remove them from the jewelry that I buy, but other people could selectively turn their bling on when they wanted it. Just a thought.
