Hey I have many layers in my photoshop document and i am trying to apply layer effects to many of them but once I have applied one layer effect to one layer , if I try to create and add a different layer effect to another layer it affects the layer effect on my initial layer , is there any way i can add different layer effects to different layers without them changing?

Global something-or-other in the various Layer Style dialogs. All Layer Styles with it turned on will be affected. Or is it effected?

Anyways, look for a little checkbox near the word Global.

The only global setting for layer blending effects is lighting angle. If you have Use Global Light checked when you set the angle of a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, or Bevel & Emboss, the angle of any and all of those same effects in other layers will also be changed. If you want a the lighting angle of a particular effect to be independent from the rest, uncheck Use Global Light for that effect.

Effects that do not use light (glows, satin, overlays, and stroke) will always be independent. Changing the properties of those effects on one layer shouldn't change anything on any other layers.

Oh damn this is easy, but saying that I came across the solution by accident.

Make your layer, do your effects, make a new transparent layer underneath the layer with the effects on, merge the two together.

Dekka, your suggestion will rasterize the blending effects. They won't be parametric anymore. It's a destructive work flow. If you want to make changes to the effects afterward, you won't be able to. I would not recommend this procedure just to solve the problem the OP described, not when there's such a simple non-destructive alternative available, which there is.

Sometimes it's necessary, and even beneficial, to rasterize. But there's no benefit in it just for this.

Ah yes, that's so correct. For the graphics I do, this isn't a problem for me, I didn't consider that one would want to use the set up again.
