Does anyone know how I can take an image and make the background transparent on Paint.Net? I tried the eraser, which says it leaves a transparent background, but when I used it in SL the background was white. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!

You need to create an alpha channel. I'm fairly certain Paint.Net can do this, but I've never used it, so I can't tell you exactly how.

If you don't know what an alpha channel is, read the Transparency Guide at the top of the forum. It's a little challenging to read these days since LL turned of bbCode on the forums, but it's chock full of good information for you. Just about everything conceptual that you need to know about transparency is there.
