How do you have it saved? If it is something that needs to have no background, it needs to have an alpha channel and be saved as 32 bit tga. :)

Ummm, if you give us a little more information, we might be able to help you. Such as, what program are you using? Photoshop? Paint Shop Pro? the GIMP? Photoshop Elements? Painter? Dog Waffle? Fireworks? Something else?

What do you mean by "merge?" Are you manually merging the layers? Why? Or are you referring to the automatic flattening that happens when you save an image as a .tga file?

If you've been doing graphics for a long time, though, I'm assuming that you know you can't have a transparent background in a flattened image, so it's probably not that.

Are you referring to what you see on your screen before you upload to SL? Or what you see in SL?

Have you read the numerous threads here that deal with Alpha channels, or the problems with PS 7.0, or prepping an image for upload to SL?

If you could tell us what you're using, the steps you are taking, what you expect to happen, and what is happening instead, we might be able to diagnose the problem and help you fix it.

Otherwise, I'm afraid that we're as stumped as you are.
