Hello! I'v recently created a beanie/hair in Maya and would like to edit the texture for it a little in photoshop, I need to add some shadows and shading and stuff. Does anybody have the UV what I can put onto my hat in Maya then map out where to shade? I'd really appreciate it if anyone could help me out. Thank's!

I believe you should create the shadow texture inside Maya itself. Use that as an overlay on the texture in PS. Or do it all in Maya.
Maybe you could try the extensive Maya help to do what you need or maybe someone will walk you through it here. Either way, it seems you may want to learn more of what Maya can do anyway. _____________________

I agree with Kornscope. Bake the shadows right in Maya. That's one of the things it's for. Light the scene well, create a good shader, and render out a fully shaded texture.
That said, if you REALLY would prefer to paint the shadows by hand in Photoshop, you certainly can. There's no need to ask about UV's, though. Every sculpty has a perfectly uniform UV layout. That's part of the definition of what it is to be a sculpty, and it's a big part of the reason why NURBS make such good source material for sculpts. Every NURBS surface is a perfect rectangle, which by default has a uniform texture placement layout. It doesn't get much simpler than that. If you want to apply a test pattern to the surface, so you can better understand what is where, here's a good one: /109/45/214824/1.html _____________________
