Posted this first in the Resident Answers Board and was told too come here, so here i am.

Ok so i've been following this tutorial too create a pair of jeans for the past two days with nothing but problems. First Gimp keeps on crashing or freezing up on me then i finally got it finished saved it and shut down gimp. Came back a little while later too upload into SL and the file was corrupted so i tried too open back up in Gimp and it was having none of it. I'm actually ready too pull my hair out.

Is there anyway too do this tutorial but using Photoshop instead as i've had nothing but problems with Gimp?

Please Help!!

I just did a very quick read through the tutorial and I don't see anything that I would do much differently in Photoshop. Most of the functions she refers to have similar names in Photoshop and GIMP, so you should have little trouble finding them, especially if you know your way around Photoshop already. The bump mapping business is a bit different, but you should be able to get the denim look with Photoshop by doing just a little experimenting. You might also want to look at Chosen Few's nice post on making denim texture with Photoshop. It's at /109/d8/81099/1.html#post834414.

had a look at the tute too. It will translate into PS pretty good. Yes you can get a denim look in PS pretty easily.
I dont like gimp myself, i tried to use it a while back but was having the same problem.
I found if i used the plugin that makes it work like PS it would shut down.
