Hiya....silly question...and I'm sure it's a simple answer...... How do I attach jewellery I make to myself si it stays and moves WITH me?....... I've tried using the menu, but if i attach say a belly ring, it vanishes inside my tummy... Thanks in advance

From: Vixen Valkyrie Hiya....silly question...and I'm sure it's a simple answer...... How do I attach jewellery I make to myself si it stays and moves WITH me?....... I've tried using the menu, but if i attach say a belly ring, it vanishes inside my tummy... Thanks in advance Vixen, You're doing the right thing. It's just a matter of being able to edit-click the belly ring while you're wearing it. Here's what I'd do: Attach the belly ring to your stomach like you did. Now use the alt + mouseclick to move your camera around. Click on the ground somewhere near yourself (I usually click behind my avatar), now move the mouse about, in and out, and all over the place, until you can navigate your view inside your body. Once inside, you should be able to edit-click the belly ring and move it so it sticks out of your body for all to see. There may be other ways of doing this...but this is how I learned when I first joined up, and have been doing it like this ever since. An alternative, but not one I'm sure about, is to already have your edit menu open. And drag the highlighted yellow box across the screen, over your avatar. This *may* grab the belly ring inside you (be careful not to accidently highlight any other objects near you - do this in an area with just land). But I'm not positive about that. I'm not sure if the drag/highlight can pick up attachments. If worse comes to worse, IM me in world sometime if you haven't been able to get this right, and I'll do it for you. Good luck.

This works for me I attach the object first to my Avatar's nose, mouth or chin depending on the objects size. I then move the object out away from my Av's body using edit tools then detach the object. Then I go into my inventory click the object and attach it to the desired body location. The object will be attach out away from my Avatar's body I can then position it to desired location. Hope this helps.

The trick I came up with for attaching stuff that would end up inside my AV was to take a long, skinny prim and link it to the object before attaching. Then I have something to fish the object out with. Once it's pulled out of my av's body, I can then drop it, delete the extra prim, re-attach, and adjust the position from there.
