I love to design clothes and learning otherthings aas well, I use psp8 mostly and am very frustrated at times when I upload my design to the game only to find there is this white line shadow around it. What am I doing wrong and is there a way to correct this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

this is the white fringe around the edge of your alpha channel?

in both PS and PSP -- you need to take one more step AFTER you create your alpha channel.

What is happening here is you have some semi-transparent pixels around your edge, and when you save as a tga with no background fill layer, the system makes the background white and that shows through. You need to put something in place of that white.

You need to create a background fill layer. If your edging is primarily all one color (a purple shirt, for example), then create a new layer, stick the layer behind everything else, and fill that layer with a dark color prevalent in your edging (in this example, purple).

If you have a complex edging, then you might follow robin sojourner's technique of making a flattened copy of your image and layering a bunch of blurred versions of that layer on top of each other. She has an example of that on her website -- hopefully i approximated her approach correctly here.
