Ok, I'm confused as hell. I've been trying to figure out alpha channels for days. I'm using Photoshop 8.0 and tga files. I've been digging through the forums, and find a bunch that has nothing to do with how to actually enable the alpha channel in the first place. I've been digging through manuals, and they mention changing the alpha channel, but I can't find out how to turn it on in the first place. All I see is Red, Green, and Blue on the Channel window. People in the Builder's forums said I need a plug-in, but I can't find the plug in. Alpha and transparent, seem to be used all over the forums, and I can't find in the pile where what I need is. I know where channels are, and I know supposedly at some point black will become transparent, but how on earth do I turn on the alpha channel to begin with

The little icon is highlighted in red  The new channel will automatically be named as the alpha channel. |
