I have a friend who has only just started making some small houses, she started building up at the max height you can go, and as we all know, she started to suffer from prim drift during the building process, so has now moved down a lot lower to carry on.
However, she now swears blind she is experiencing Texture Drift as well.
I have never heard anyone mention texture drift, so I did suggect it may be prim alignment that made it look like Textute Drift, but she is sure the textures have moved.
I am only going by what has been said to me, so I thought I'd ask here if this effect has been seen be anyone else as I have never experienced Texture Drift even when I have been working at 3000 to 4000m up in the past.
Thanks.

Nope, never heard of it. Anything is possible, though, I guess.

I've never seen textures shift or change, except when accidentally selected. Like when someone wanted to change one face only, and instead changed all the faces on a prim or linkset.
I have done several builds now at 3000 M up or so, and still haven't had any noticible issues with "prim drift". But I tend to build "by the numbers" and aligned with the sim axies, unless impractical to do so.
Then again, I've recently had prims drift 0.050 off rotation for no apparent reason, right at sea level. So it's possible the "prim drift" your friend saw was just SL acting wonky, and not altitude related at all.

I can only imagine one scenario in which that might occur, and that's with hollowed prims that have their hollows resized. for larger hollows, the effect could be noticeable with a very slight change in the hollow size.
