Any tips on making clear-cut eye-lashes?

Also, how are the eylashes uv-mapped (if at all). The sl avatar model provided on the d/l site does not have eyelashes :-O

they are in the top right corner of the head UV map. But personally, i feel that the uv map eyelashes are pretty ugly no matter how you color them. thats why prim eyelashes are so popular these days

Well, after about a dozen uploads, I figured out the right mix for eyelashes:

1. select region of eyelash, transparency (so step 2 paints within boundaries no matter how messed your strokes)
2. paint using a thin 1 or 2 pixel brush with faded edges, and make sure to fade-paint away from eyes. do not paint over all regions

example attached

ooh, guess the celebrity anagram the skins is photosourced from and get a free skin! ;)

Attached are 2 UV templates for the SL Avatar eyelash mesh, one of the full texture at 512x512, the other a detail of the upper-right corner at 8x that scale, and, for reference, a front view of the left eyelash mesh.
