Im just learning about skins and how to make them. I have some very important questions
I hope someone can help me with. I know this will help other future skin artists as well....

1.) Where can I find templates of Head, Upper and Lower from? How do I make these Templates so they are orginally mine?

2.) Do I need to use Templates to make Skins? Do I add color to the templates?

3.) Where can I find skin textures from? Free sources...to download from.

4.) What are the Steps to Make skins? I have photoshop.

5.) When Im finished making the skin on Photoshop what do I
need to do next?

Please help..Thank You,

Maria Alviso :)

there is a guide at the top, sometimes it should help to read colored threads first ;) template downloads, SL page self, but i prefer Chip's. Skins are made the same way as clothes, using the upper body, lower body, and head templates. The LL supplied templates are available in the download section of this website. There are alternate template sets by myself and Robin Sojourner linked to in the sticky thread of links at the top of this forum. I'd recommend not using the LL templates at all since the alternates are easier to wrap your brain around, but you might find the clothes making guide that's available with the LL templates helpful. It really just comes down to understanding how to work with the templates and how they wrap around the avatar. After that it's just paint work. There are a lot of good tutorials on the web for painting human skin textures in Photoshop. For help understanding the templates you might find the guide I wrote for Second Style's first issue helpful. You can find it here.
