hi i am new to creating clothes in sl and have read several of the introductions and have managed to make a few mens tshirts yay (using a psd file and editing it to my needs)
I would now like to make a female top and was wondering if someone would be so kind to let me have a basic female top in psd format so i can also learn how this works.

thanks for your help in advance

yes i got those

but what i want to make is a simple girls top, and i'm not sure how to go about it so if someone could send me a photoshop file that i could open and see, then i could figure it out from there i think :)

I think there are textures for female clothing in some of the texture boxes at yadnis. Might be worth a look.

Here's an example. Things to note in the psd file is that in the channels tab you will see the alpha1 that defines the shape of the camisole. In the layers tab you will see the texture of the camisole. It's not really necessary to have the shape done in the layers tab but it helps tell you were to put the textures. You'll also see some extra layers called old and new straps which are there because I had to adjust the straps as they didn't link up at the shoulders when I viewed them through DAZ studio.

The psd file zipped:

The camisole in SL:
I didn't bother aliasing the edges of the camisole so it appears a little jagged. Also the straps could do with better alignment. I did this in about 15 minutes so it's not that good. The texture is a public domain image.

I'm sure this was probably just a typo, but just so no one who maybe new to this sort of thing gets confused, the way to make something not jagged is to anti-alias it, not to alias it.

Anyway, Bree, that looks pretty good for 15 minutes. It was kind of you to share it.

Thanks Chosen. I don't fully check my post sometimes!

Your welcome Zoe. Let me know if you have any questions. I kind of guessed you meant a camisole when you said you wanted a female top. The psd file is full of un-needed layers but I left them in to help show the process. Thx to Robin Wood for her torso template too!

@ Bree: The download generates an invalid download link when clicked.

I would like to see this myself so I can work out the kinks in my design process.
