Er, I have a similar question. I've made some upper- and lower-body skins using Chip's templates, but I'm not sure how to merge the two into one skin for SL. I can upload them one at a time, and I get a nice upper body skin, and then a nice lower body skin. How do I join them into one?

Welcome to SL Ricky and Tabitha :)

Enter the Appearance/Skin dialogue and drop the textures into the 3 Tattoo boxes you see to the left. Save out of Appearance, and the skin textures will stick. Use the "Make Outfit" feature at the bottom of the dialogue to make a single "skin" outfit.

How do you make a skin....
I tried to make a skin in Appreance like Clothes, but it would not allow me to take off the current skin and make a new one... How to do it? Do I create a "new one" using tatoo and cover the "build-in" skin?

Where can I find the CHIP template? please help...
thx

Hi Kimiko :) You can download the templates here: http://www.slboutique.com/chipmidnight/ In order to make a skin using them, use the templates as a guide for painting new head, upper body, and lower body textures, then apply your painted textures in the tattoo slots on a skin in appearance mode as Namssor described above. You can use whatever paint program you prefer (photoshop, paintshop pro, GIMP, corel photopaint, etc.) to paint your textures. There's no simple way to do it and it can take a lot of practice before you get one you want to keep. It can be lots of fun trying though. Search this forum for additional tips and tricks.
