How do I create a hat (such as a baseball cap) and a mask (such as a hockey mask)? Is this even possible in the current version of SL? I have the clothing templates, but they do not have anything that would help a person build a mask or hat. I am probably just missing something. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Such objects would need to be made of prims, which you could then texture as you wished. Have a good fiddle with the Edit menu and see what prims can do

Hats would have to be prims, but I've seen some very good masks that were no more than avatar textures -- i.e., skins. You could texture the basic SL skin with the mask (or masks) you want pretty easily, I would think. In fact, one could wear a hat AND a mask at the same time.

I was thinking a hockey mask would look rather flat as a texture... and a prim one has the advantage it could also be worn atop the head a la Eminem
