Hey folks... I'm hoping someone out there can help me with a small problem I'm having.

I'm creating a skin that is flat black with some brightly colored tribal markings on it for an anthro dragon avatar. So far, so good. That is until I switched the environment settings to midnight.

The bright and vivid tattoos I placed on my custom skin became dull and lost vitality. How can I have them glow as if they were being lit by the daylight setting? How do I make the tattoos glow?

I'm a knowledgeable photoshop user and any help would be appreciated. I just want the tattoos to glow at night. Hopefully it's a simple fix.

Thanks

The best thing you can do is to use a prim with the design on it, if you want it to glow all the time.

A small light attachment over the tattoo may also work. Unfortunately there;s just no way to make your avatar "glow" without using prims or a light.

But isn't there a line of glow skins? I thought some had set their texture to 'glow' very subtly.

you could only do that within photoshop... adn then the same problem would exist in midnight lighting... nice advertising gimmick though :)
