Merry Christmas All,

Uuummm....yes, I know I am rather slow at these sorts of things, but when did SL start allowing .bmp, jpeg, and .jpg files texture uploads? I noticed it a few days ago...and reaffirmed when I just tried to upload a texture.

I think it has allowed them since I started SL at the end of 2003. Certainly for years.

If you want to use transparency you have to use tga or png files, though.

Allowing .png is "relatively new", but has been around for over a year. The other formats have been supported since day 1. The only ones SL allows for using transparency are .tga and .png.

Thanks! I guess I have misunderstood for quite some time about upload file formats. I thought you could only upload .tga and .png files and nothing more. Live and learn I guess. Thanks!
