I have Photoshop Elements that came with a scanner, it works great, but doesn't seem to have alpha channels needed to do clothes..
So are there and free ones like Gimp or whatever that can get the job done? Can't afford the full photoshop...

Gimp supports alpha channeling. And as far as I know, it is free. You can get it at www.gimp.org.
I have no idea how to use it though, I'm a Photoshop guy. But its supposed to have 95% the functionality of full Photoshop. |

Not only does GIMP handle alpha channels, but it's one of the things it does about 10 times better than it's nearest competitor, that being photoshop.
Granted, for a lot of things, photoshop is better, but for that money, you'd expect it to be... GIMP takes some setting up, but once it's there, it's no more difficult to use than anything else. Have fun, Sio _____________________

I'm curious does GIMP support auto alpha channel conversion like PS 7 did? PSD files converted to TGA made their own alpha channels perfectly unlike in CS which doesn't do anything of the sort.
