Currently I'm trying to make a set of pants with a stripe down the side of each leg, but I'm having problems getting this stripe to look straight once the texture is applied to the clothing. I'm using Chip Midnight's wonderful templates, but even aligning the design to the contours on the grid leaves me with an uneven stripe. Does anyone have any tips on getting this to look right?

Hi Davoren This is something that I've struggled with myself. From looking closely at a few items that I bought that have done the stripe down the sides successfully, it looks like the designer(s) have done a couple of things. The stripe is actually set SLIGHTLY to the "front" of the actual side seam. Meaning if you are looking at someone standing in front of you facing you wearing the pants, the stripe is slightly closer to the front of the legs (towards the kneecaps) as opposed to set further back towards the back of the legs. In some cases I've noted to fill in the illusion of having the stripe look like it IS exactly on the seam the designer(s) have done the above AND also made a thin matching stripe along the edge of the other side seam. I've noticed if I try to make a stripe exactly along the seam, it ends up going all wavy down the side of the legs. I'm sorry if this isn't very clear LOL I've never been able to pull it off myself, but if this doesn't make any sense plse feel free to IM me inworld, and I can show you the pants, and let you know the creators - maybe they can give you some tips too
