Hey all, Just a quick question...I have Adobe Photoshop CS3 and have a pretty good knowledge of how to make tattoos and/or clothing. Not the best at it, but I know how to do it...Just curious: 1) If it's even possible to have a tattoo along the knuckles area of an Av's hand. 2) If so, which template would I use? Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, if you want to have MOM tattooed on both hands or something else symmetrical, you can. I made some hands with henna designs on them. Hands are mirrored on avatars and clothing.

From: Digital Glass 1) If it's even possible to have a tattoo along the knuckles area of an Av's hand. Absolutely. From: Digital Glass 2) If so, which template would I use? You'd use the upper body template. However, be aware that that part of the template doesn't have a whole lot of pixels on it. You'd need to keep the tattoo pretty simple. And both hands would have the same tattoo. Another option would be to put the tattoo on an otherwise transparent prim, and then attach it to the hand. The only drawback there is that the prim won't move with the fingers. So if you attach it with the fingers straight, it might float in mid air when the hand closes to make a fist.

Hmmm... Ok so I got it working, but since both hands are symmetrical but the opposite hand is just a mirror image, I'm assuming there's no way to take off the opposite hand's markings? Maybe with some transparency trick? Hmm..

There is only one hand on the template which gets applied to both avatar hands. The only way around this is to use a prim.

What I've done on mine is to create an ambigram ( http://www.ambigram.net/ for ideas) that mirrors. Drop me an IM in world, if you want and I might be able to play with something.
