Ok now that I have your attention I just got a new Wacom Graphire3 tablet today. I am currently perplexed as to how to make the pressure sensitivity aspect work with Jasc's Paint Shop Pro 9.

I have went to thier FAQ and support section yet the research was a futile effort.

Sooooo, I am asking anyone that uses both together to help me out in possibly explaining how to set it up to react to presure sensitivity

Any help in this would greatly be appreciated.

Sincerely, Shadow Weaver

Hi Shadow,

Does the tablet work in other programs?
What problem are you having exactly? Can you draw with the tablet? Does the pressure work but just not well or does it not work at all?

Is there a brush variance palette like on version 8?

I have a Graphire 2 tablet, and the pressure sensitivity only works with the art brush tools, not the regular paintbrush in Paint Shop Pro. Is this the same problem you're having, Shadow?

Ok some have mentioned variance tools and art brush well I wont lie I never thought to try the simple art brush tools with it I was primarly working with the standard paint brush and air brush which for me is what I generally use along with the morphing tools

In Photoshop elements that came with the Tablet it works fine but I am not that comfortable with PS Elements as I am Paintshop Pro as I have been using it for Years..Litterally.

Anyway what I am looking for is what controls the Pen settings where it shows the pressure variance.

For example if I want it to start lining at say 6 pixel diameter and depending on the presure it scale up to something like a 30 pixel diameter with a feather adjust ment of 1-9 pixels per pressure pull.

Maybe this explains what I am looking for better than what I stated earlier it was late and I had just woke up long enough to try something as I had a brain cramp as I laid in bed tossing and turning as usual.

I love my Graphire 2. Of course, being a snob, I use it for the GIMP and Painter instead.

Meanwhile, a quick Google search came up with this: http://tutorials.dewaynegore.com/dgpsp8pressure.htm

I can only assume it works the same way in 9, but for Kathmandu, this tutorial is for 8.

Thank you Jeffery, This is something I was looking for I knew the info was out there but I just didnt know where. Ironic this data is not in the book nor is it on the websites in an easy to find method on either JASC or COREL since JASC was bought out by Corel.

I was tired when I requested this and I never took the time to google it because I didnt want to wade through what I knew Id find there so figured easy to ask here instead for faster reply than 2 days of googling. Apparently I dont have a good method of google wording to seek things out..;)

Great link, Jeffrey! Thanks! :)

I haven't had my tablet for long, so I hadn't bothered to find out why it wasn't working with the normal paintbrush tools in PSP (I mostly use PS anyway). Anyways, glad you got the answers you were looking for, Shadow. :)

Yeah I tried it when I got home tonight I think I am in love with this thing. This is so going to revolutionalize my designs now as I wont have to try to fight a mouse anymore.

I knew Wacom had these I just never could afford one before. Thanks to SL and Sales I have been able to upgrade to this maybe now I can provide better content than I had produced in the past.

I still have a lot to learn with it as far as tweaking brushes n such but I think I am going to have a field day once I get all my vendors in world replaced with the new script we have.

So again thank you ever one for your support in this and especially Jeffery once that link showed me the pull down and what to look for I was in awe.

Thank you again

Sincerely, Shadow Weaver
