Hello All, I muchly need help with creating my own hairstyle... I've downloaded the template, and don't know what to do with this gridded rug.  I'm not quite sure where to go to get specific directions on how to use the template. Would someone please direct me to where the instructions are, or tell me how to use it? I appreciate it! ;8^) |

There aren't really any instructions, and the hair template can be quite a challenge to wrap your brain around. What I suggest doing is color coding the various polygons on the hair template. Upload that colored in themplate and apply it to a hair shape. Then take a bunch of screenshots with the hair set short and long. This will give you a better idea of what part of the template ends up on what part of the hair. After you have that figured out then draw a bunch of arrows scattered around on the template in the direction you think the hair strands should go. Upload that and try it on your hair and take more screenshots. Adjust the arrows that point in the wrong directions. Repeat that process until you have your template filled with arrows that indicate proper strand direction. It sounds painful and it is, but the time it will save you down the road is immense. Good luck! Hair textures are one of the hardest things to do well in SL.
