Hi
I have made a few clothes which I am about to sell (hopefully : ) I have used Robin Wood and also CMFF templates to create in Photoshop and saved as png24 at 512 with a back up psd.
I view in Avpainter and they look fine but when in SL any pattern around the crotch area is badly distorted.
Is there something I am doing wrong? and or is ther anything I can do to address this.. In world I have seen perfectly reproduced items and also ones with this problem.

many thanks for any advice,
best,
Wendy

Not much that can be done, I fear. The UV mapping of textures in the crotch area is abysmally poor, and it is almost impossible to avoid smearing and distortion.

It is technically possible to make something like a pair of bikini underwear or a bikini bottom, with a slim crotch. The area between the legs is literally only one pixel wide, and if off in any direction by even a pixel, it smears. The next stable, non-smearing leg length isn't until you get to something akin to boxer shorts.
