Hi folks - this is a question for the Modo gurus out there...

Is there any way to get the skirt/lower jacket layer to show on the av mesh in Modo?

If so, how might one do so?

Not a Modo guru, or a guru of any kind for that matter, but the skirt/jacket is a different mesh from the AV mesh so it will need to be loaded separately.

The skirt is a separate mesh but also works with a texture UVW template. Yes you will have to bring in the skirt obj file to apply it. As far as the jacket layer working on the skirt layer - I am unsure of how to do it but you might be able to do a work around by modifying the PSD skirt template to the pant's template (think smart object and warp).

If you have layering capability in modo, you should be able to just pull those textures into separate layers. If not then you could always save separate TGAs or Bitmaps with the layers on top of one another in one file (pull them into the Photoshop template, collapse layers and save as).

If you've already pulled in the SL avatar into Modo and have your UVW mapping laid out with the material assigned then it should be a simple matter to create layers or pull in different bitmaps. Chip Midnight is someone who might know exactly how to do this.
