What would be the classes? Do you think it's balanced?
Is there something in SL that is too powerful and needs to be "nerfed"?

Eggy, we've already well-established what a LAST BOSS you are. (Remember that time on Stage 4?)

It's those powergaming Hippo's that need to be nerfed.

SL would be a skill and point based system, like GURPS or Hero, rather than class-based like D&D.
However, for certain arbitrary applications, you would be forced to treat your character as if you were playing with a class-based system. _____________________

Yea, dang it. I spend a while grinding on Scripter to buy a few social levels, and then suddenly someone tells me that the Clothes Designer gets a class ability that lets them duplicate any social class, at any level, for free. I mean, someone must have been looking the wrong way when they came up with that one.
The system where money rewards for a class become harder to get the more people join that class (because "the easy stuff is already done" desperately needs to be reconsidered. I've seen whole theme guilds go under when people were forced to cross-class because the main class was saturated and didn't pay off any more. The reward scale for the Newbie Helper is totally out of whack. The higher levels can boost someone else's XP gain rate by up to 10x but they don't get anything for using it on people? That's ridiculous. Anyone know what level you have to be to start getting profit from the Land Manager? I tried a few levels of it but I'm still losing overall on it. I'll keep it, though, because the Local Community ability is fantastic - now I have a bunch of cool people around me I see every day. |

You can't get profit until you unlock the "baron" power at lvl 67 |

What would be the classes? Critical Thinking 101 Seminar: That Idiot's Freedoms Are Your Freedoms (AKA Look At the Big Picture, Dumbass). SL On One L$ A Day: How to Have Fun Without Renting Your Ass Creating As An End In Itself: How Not To Set Yourself Up To Feel Cheated. Carpal Tunnel & You Oh wait, you meant character classes. Never mind ![]() As for what needs to be nerfed. I'd have to go with my access to snack foods. _____________________

We were joking about this very subject awhile back in #secondlife.
In the middle of the conversation, I threw this chart together in OmniGraffle. It's far from complete -- I got bored with it. ![]() ![]() _____________________

And whereas in most professions these would be considerable drawbacks, in chartered accountancy they are a positive boon. |

I'd be a Lvl 60 Rogue.
I already spawncamp noobs... to help them of course. I don't hesitate to PvP someone who's acting higher than their skill level. And when I'm bored. I draw aggro by posting in the forums. |
