Yeah. Looking at this, I really, really doubt we can do this with the client and server model over the existing internet. We'd have to have one of them newfangled Physics Processing Units. Which we be really useful for... um... games. And maybe pr0n.

Yeah, the pr0n industry has always been an advocate of new technology. I'm pretty sure they'll find some way to utilize the physics chip in their full body sex suit technology they're developing. As for the Internet, I guess we'll all have to switch to Internet2.

I want space sims dammmit!

Why not have a dialog box asking if we want to go into the space sim after we reach some ceartain hight. Maybe make it only allow that to happen if we are riding something with a particular physics enabled. Basic LSL stuff we do anyway in other forms.
Then put planets to travel to please. :)
Maybe put them out there for us to travel to and descover and colonize. Or standard bases to build on.

Which would be no different that how land is built on now. Instead of expanding forever on one world.
I know I know, Havoc 2 will be closer to that ability. *sigh* :o

But we have all the makings of a good space simulation here without messing up this world (planet) :D .. particals for stars, nebula, prims that make good ships and of course planets are nothing but a giant single Sphere prim.
The lindens could allow an exeption maybe for it to be extreamly large. Maybe limit those to a certain number per area. Maybe set that up themselves. Or at least a representation of a planet. I dunno. Anything would be nice like that.
It IS limited here. "Your world Your imagination" seems so limiting after playing other games. Other games that have a fear of real life economy that is.

I know there is talk about the long term future having the option for us to travel to other server locations that anyone can own. I just hope the traveling to them is not something like the boring TP's we have now. :rolleyes:

And for those who don't wanna see space. They can stay here on the main planet. All space games have a main planet. Heh Ok most do.
