I just gave THE most blooperfilled class I have ever given..yet had the BEST time!! Took pics of some of the sweetest falls at the class..ONE of those..Toy Lafollette's!!! I usually avoid particles but Toy has tweaked some into the most stunning falls in SL.
What a superb talent and great all 'round person to boot.
And thankyou to nemi McCoy, Sunid Gorky and Radjim Gould for helping with the event!

I hope that was an advanced class, Margot, else you've been hit by a ringer.  Toy was teaching water classes at least as recently as fall 2004, when I took one with her. Of course the big question is, where are the pictures?!?

I went to just observe, and I have known Margot for sometime so she wasnt fooled. Its a good thing when people who do the same kind of work can share ideas

Toy came to the class for one reason..to see if she'd like to on occasion do a 'cameo' appearance or lecture here and there at the academy..not even teach. She is in the instructor group and would most likely do her main things there. But anything at all she could do to show ppl what can be done in SL if you're creative...would be so great. At Oak Grove or anywhere! Matter of fact SHE taught ME about how lovely SOME particle effects could be..if used with an artist's touch, 'toyed' with with an artist's hand. She had a wonderful slideshow of some of her wonderful works, sadly many are not in SL any longer. And the students of the class were in awe, as was I. So, no. Toy did NOT come to the class to learn how to do a waterfalls )) BUT, as luck would have it, what can go wrong did and I had a few bloopers happen, so if she EVER shows up for one of my classes again, she's prolly coming to see if she can teach ME about perms and non-transfer prims. hehe |

Heh, I wasn't really worried about Toy, except in the sense that I haven't run into her in-world in a long time. /me hugs Toy... But I am worried about the lack of pictures. Hey Margot, where are the PICTURES???

Her falls was PURELY particles...finely-honed...NOT harsh, very softly done. And a VERY natural looking 'splashing' one on the bottom of the falls accented it beautifully!!
Unfortunately, there is no way to show you her slideshow of her falls here. And yes, many are not in existence anymore. That's why pics are SO important when you do a work. SL is a shifting sands type of world.
