I thought the Lindens were going to give us a way to check, with LSL, whether a buyer has a verified account. It's now six weeks after June 6, and still no verification script. In the interim, I've scripted my vendors not to sell anything arguably 'mature' to anyone born after June 6, but this workaround is getting increasingly difficult to manage as more post-June-6 people join the game.
Could a Linden please reply?

No reply from anyone. Do the Lindens still intend to implement a way to check account status?

Ricky, I could swear I read Philip and Robin both mention that the verification status would be LSL scriptable. But hey, we're still waiting on a way to turn off push attacks in our land tools and I don't hear much about that either. In fact, the update screwed up some ban lists so bad I had banned people walking into our club last night as if nothing had ever happened.
Makes you worry, doesn't it?

Cindy, Robin Linden has indeed promised us an LSL call to check account status. After describing the new "account" field on the Profile, she said this (in a thread started by you, ironically enough, Cin): From: someone A second phase of this effort will be the addition of LSL calls allowing you to access this information for your use so that a landowner, for example, could prohibit access to their parcel/estate based on level of identifying information available. Similarly, a merchant could make a decision about selling. Robin's full post, including the above statement, is in this thread, post #73: /108/3d/115686/3.htmlI posted about this in the SL Answers forum, and Torley Linden replied and asked me to send him a link detailing where Lindens had discussed this before. So I sent him the above link and quotation. I hope they implement this quickly. It's the single biggest issue in SL for me. Right now I've programmed my vendors to refuse to sell arguably mature content to ANYONE born after June 6; with every passing day, I get more customers IM'ing me asking why I think their accounts aren't verified. The answer, of course, is that I can only check rez date, not account status, with LSL. It should be an easy fix. LSL already permits us to check rez date and other profile info using a dataserver event.
