Hi everyone, A while ago I started this thread: /120/65/45787/1.htmlSince then, I've started distributing a notecard inworld called "Pathfinder's Picks." You can find this notecard in a kiosk at the Welcome Areas in Waterhead and Ahern (I've attached a pic of the sign). I'm looking for feedback as well as ideas on how to make this list more effective and helpful to new Residents. Please post your thoughts in this thread or contact me inworld. I'm also having an event tonight at my inworld Office about this topic: http://secondlife.com/events/event.php?id=70104&date=1122861600My goal is to make Pathfinder's Picks as useful as possible to new Residents, and to give every Resident a chance to get their suggestions listed in a timely fashion. Thank you for any suggestions! -Pathfinder

at the bottom of the sign, 4 clickable boxes with the previous 4 issues/versions/editions/whatevertheyares of Pathfinders Picks.

Pathfinder,
How about an XML-RPC driven in-world interface to a back end database allowing you to categorize and use dialog boxes, so you're not stuck using editions? This way, your picks list could continue to grow and grow, becoming more and more of a valuable and fun resource.
Regards,
-Flip

More distribution locations. Plop them on Linden land or offer them to anyone who'd care to host one. I'd gladly put one out.

From: Margaret Mfume More distribution locations. Plop them on Linden land or offer them to anyone who'd care to host one. I'd gladly put one out. Seconded. I rarely get to the welcome area, and I've spoken with many new residents who don't go there a lot or spend a lot of time exploring it because being thrust into so many people when they're still learning to crawl can be daunting. Kind of like a Freshman attending the senior prom, I imagine. Place one at various well traveled SL locations. I would recommend places like The Shelter, Yadni's, the GNU store.. etc.. that cater to new residents.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've put most of Pathfinder's Picks into Landmarker (couldn't put all of them since some of the sims are not in Landmarker yet). You can find my picks by going directly here: http://landmarker.neologasm.org/lm/user_lm/user_id=51I'll be updating my picks on Landmarker as well as continuing to put out new notecards in the kiosks. If more people start using Landmarker, I'll use it as a way to find new places for my picks list as well. And if you'd like a Pathfinder's Picks kiosk to put on your own land, please just IM me inworld and I'll drop one on you. Thank you!

I wonder why Pathfinder stopped making new Pickfinder's Picks?
The dispenser is still around.
Anyone have a complete set of them?
