Harassment

I would like to know if there is any one out there in second life land that is being harassed by alts??? I am being harassed and if i start filing abuse reports it will be like the million alt march...any ideas...i also know for a fact thisis a minor tho im told its inadmissable in second life and now moot cus you dont need cc info anymore..i run a texture place but this is driving people away as he keeps coming back as alt after alt...I apologize if this is the wrong place but i dont know what else to do..ty for letting me add my 2 L worth...

how does one file an AR on a disposa-alt


I am editing this to let anyone interersted enough to read it know that I am not an alt...My other av was cancelled by my hand and i started over with this avie.. I spent a lot of lindens in second life When i came back i went to the people that made my favorite clothes and bought them again.... I raised a prim all by myself yesterday and i was so proud i sat on the darn thing for over an hour...laugh if you will but i love this game and cant understand why people cant leave us alone..once again i am not a noob but i would help anyone i thought needed it and still will...thank you for reading this post...

well since i appear to be the only one in second life without an alt..i will reply to my own damned post...soooo here goes...



first i love the game tho now im trying to figure out why.. second im learning my sentence structure sucks..no im not fixing it,,deal with it..i feel that if i fail to even get nimrod to reply to a post i am gonna give up and go back to playin slingo against an evil devil..least hes consistent n i can put him in my inventory when he irks me ....


for the record tho i was summer montale and never bothered a soul in the game..spent more money than i care to admit in the game...and i started over with this av..didnt even keep her as an alt i cancelled it to go premium acct.. now instead of a basic account i pay to be annoyed with minors that are alloweed to play free on an adult site...have a great day..but hurry im sure they have alts for that too....

How do you accidently delete your account? I mean, isn't it kind of a hassle to find where to do that even? Is it so easy to delete your account by accident? How drunk were you that night?

File the report on whoever is bothering you. The Lindens will look into it. If this person has a track record then they will get what is coming to them, even if it's under different accounts. If you never say anything to the Linden how will they know you ever had an issue with AV X ?

I'm sorry you are being griefed that surely isn't fun.

Rain, Under the new system that LL just instituted Wednesday, the individual stalking and harrassing you can be banned now by means of his computer hardware profile. This means he will be unable to log into SL from his computer no matter how many alts he tries to make. LL will still know its him and he will remain banned.

However, in order to get him banned in the first place...you MUST first file an AR. I would also send an IM to Live Help next time he tries this and get a Linden over to help you immediately as well. But without you taking action to report him, LL can do nothing.

If you know for a fact that this person is a minor, include that in your AR. Despite what some say, non one under 18 is allowed in the adult grid under LL SL Terms of Service. The new registration did not change that. They are not supposed to be here. AR them and let live Help know this person is a minor and needs banned or removed to the teen grid.

Thank you Gabe....it was an intentional restart...I had no intentions on returning so i cancelled my account and then was talked out of leaving so I started new...thanks tho for your kind words....

Well, with "God Mode" out...anyone can create an alt and if God Mode is on their PC they can use it with any of their accounts to map you whether or not you are on their friends list.

Yes. It is very annoying. A random person pops up out of the blue and wants to start a conversation with you. Then they say some wierd outta sorts thing, disagree with you even when you just say hello, or answer their question...I guess you are supposed to respond in a hostile manner eventually so they can AR you.

God Mode should cost about L10,000 or more. For L$2500...I think just about everyone who wants to be annoying has it (Not saying that everyone who has it is annoying though).

I thought the whole God Mode thing was a joke. *wanders off to investigate*

This is a pretty nasty feature in my opinion. I don't have any stalkers myself (everyone turned down the job since it has no dental benefits) but I can see how it could be a problem. Combined with the silent picture taking and untethered camera, it might as well be called Stalker mode. In my opinion, LL should kill this feature.

I suspect that they will in the next update.

It doesn't work through bans, incidentally, but we don't really want to have to retreat to ban zones in order not to be mapped now do we?
