Peeping???

I noticed on a recent police blotter that someone was suspended for "peeping"? What is that on SL and how do they know you're doing it?

(no, I'm not taking notes for a future peeping expedition"

1.) Park around 40-100m from a target.
2.) Set Draw Distance to 128 (or higher)
3.) Set LookAt (the point the camera swivels around) as close to the subject as possible.
4.) Use CTRL-0 (zero) to 'zoom in' by adjusting Feild of View.

Some people use tricks to get into locked houses while the inhabitants are getting intimate. This can be done in a lot of ways.

Considering the fact that such a house is locked (and probably the blinds closed/windows blinded) , the inhabitants wanted their privacy.

Gaining access (with cam or your entire avie) would then be considered peeping.

Yeah. I have a "don't annoy the neighbors" policy when I break into their houses. Of someone's getting their freak on, I'll only linger for a moment before I set another vector and fly off.

It's not just 'intimate' moments people peep at, either. I've come out of Appearance mode after making undies or bikinis or other articles of clothing that require some naked time, and found people (1 at a time, but more than once) hovering above my sky-workshop, just watching. At 300m, above the clouds, in a plain white box... whyyyyyy would they be up there looking in the first place, let alone sticking around to watch when they realized it was 1 person and no pixel bumping?

Some people really, really need more free internet porn so they won't have to resort to getting their kicks from badly made pixels in innocent poses.

Jonquille, these same people could go to any of a hundred SL clubs featuring strippers or escorts and see all the pixellated boobies they wanted. But the difference is that it would then be accepted and expected. The act of peeping isn't so much about what they see as it is about the fact they're not supposed to see it.

It's the same for the upskirt practice of some players - and why so many female avies wear jeans or pants.

I have to agree with Cindy ((btw - hi long time no see cindy, *hugs*)) - I actually am of the opinion they arent out to see av nudity or sex per se - but rather the av nudity/sex of people who want some privacy.

The actual bothering / making others feel bad is something they are aspiring to.

That being said I still dont understand why one of the peepers who bothered me was bottomless riding a flying cow .

... I haven't seen that yet but wanted a list function. I can not get a few different display modes with coords and relative height. I might add a mode for GROUP in the next version. I can't really think of any other useful features to throw into a device like that
