There used to be a program made by Mikey Spade that allowed you to do something like that. But really all it was was a GUI to easily create a colors.ini thing.
So instead of using a program, what you can do is go into your Second Life folder (usualy C:\Program Files\Second Life\app_settings) and open up colors_base.ini, then copy and paste everything from there into colors.ini then play around with it and modify certain settings and see what does what. You want to keep colors_base.ini unmodified so you can always go back to it if you mess something up. I think the numbers are (r,g,b,t) with t being Transparency of the window/whatever. I've made up my own which I use, basicly setting most of the GUI to a different transparency while keeping the color the same, you can find that here: http://oz.slinked.net/downloads.php Ezhar also made a modification to make the UI a different color, you can find that here: http://sl.sdfjkl.org/secondlife/supergreen/ I'm not sure how up to date Ezhar's colors.ini is though. They (LL) sometimes change things in versions that can cause old colors.ini to crash the client on startup. I should probably document what exactly does what in the colors.ini or something. *makes note to self* _____________________

if there's any interest in this, i've been meaning for a while now to sit down and learn some GUI stuff in C/C++ so i can move beyond simple console apps, and this would be a great excuse and a simple program to get me started
![]() here's mine, in case anyone likes crazy purple/teal c.c; colors.ini picture |
