SCAM: Casino Game Tester

I am 99% positive this is an older well-known scam, but in the event it is not I wanted to warn you all.

To the point. Person tells you they will pay you L$ for testing out games for a new casino. In this case they offerred L$2500. To make it look more legit they also sent over a notecard survey thing. Basically the point of that is to see how rich you are to see if it's worth scamming you. Anyways, next up they TP you to a location to test a game. They send you a machine to rez out for them to test. You rez it out, allow money to be taken from you, then no surprise player wins everytime. So they bet higher and higher until they take all your money. Smart guys this time, they had an "innocent bystander" to test one out before us which of course was not rigged. Anyways, in the end they take your money, run away, and when confronted try to deny it and curse you out.

Not naming names but watch out. Never allow an object to deduct money from you unless you know the situation upfront. Luckily we emptied our accounts and only let them take a few L$ to prove the point. Oh, and actually, the main guy here was an older alt, but the "innocent bystander" was a newbie alt - none the less, the majority of the accounts praciticing this scam are probably newbies. So be weary and suspicious of everyone and everything now that registration is a free for all.

One of my friends in game had something similar happen to him. He was asked if he wanted to test some casino games for like 1500L, once the machine was rezzed and he bet he got orbited to oblivian!! he quickly reported the incident and contacted a Linden to invstigate but the avatrs acct had been deleted and no trace of hte guys other than the group they belong too.

Hey Nicole! This is a variation on an older scam thats been aroung for a while, but they do tend to pop up again.
