Hello. I am trying to set up music for the property I am working on but dont know where to go to find sites that I can use to get the URLs and such. If anyone knows anything about how to set this up and where to find music please let me know, I can use the help. Thank you

Clicking tune in downloads the playlists that will have the stations different URL addresses if you view their individual infos. (Though you might need winamp?).

so all i need to do is have winmap downloaded on my comp and then get the URL from one of the sites on Shoutcast and it will play on my land for everyone to hear? Sorry, im really new at this

well I figured out how to play them off of shoutcast but how do i find the url to put in my land profile?

Right click on it in the playlist editor and view file info or highlight it and press Alt-3. Should have the address at the top.

Remember to include the full URL, including the 'http://'

When I get home from work, I can send you a handy dandy notecard that I got when I was new to the game with a list of a bunch of URL's and their respective genres. It helps for quick reference in game instead of having to search for one via the web.....easier for lazy folks like myself who don't like switching windows LOL.

Great, Id be very thankful if you could send that to me. Im still having a hard time finding the right music as well as getting it all working, lol. So if you or anyone knows any good Japanese classical or instrumental sites, I would love to hear of them. Thank you

Also internet radio is a fun habit to get into anyway if you have to spend a lot of time working or playing on your computer. The streams I use are stations that I've happened across and enjoy. A bit of time researching them does help, then you're not surprised by obnoxious adverts or something like that.

I just turn off music in game, boot Winamp and rifle through a few stations whilst I'm playing, see if I come across anything I like. If I do, I hit 'save playlist', find the saved file, change the extension to .txt and open it - the url is in there. I've found some really good stations that way, one or two which are private (read: someone's bedroom!) ventures and don't have any advertisments or people talking.

Of if you're on someone's land and like thier music, ask them for the url

Good a way as any to get a collection together.

Radio Paradise is an excellent listener-supported but free station. Great music, no ads, no rubbish.

Not to sound too much like I am pitching my product, but well, okay, to pitch my product..

I create a music object call SLAmp that allows you to search for a particular genre, group, artist, song, etc... and it will go and fetch streams that are playing what your searching for and set the land's music stream to such stream. Unlike other music tuners, it does not requiring knowing the URL's for the streams and has no notecards to set up (it actually performs a dynamic search). Basically WinAMP for SL.
