I just logged in to find everything I'd done to my club in the last half day pretty much never happened. This a common occurance, or is there a severe prob here? ANyone else experience this?

when did "General" beomce "complain about crap"?

but seriously..

Duke, SL isn't really a full fledged and finalized project yet.. in my view anyway

a good hint is to check in with these forums.. if people are having problems, don't do anything important. if things are smooth.. go ahead and give it a go.

just remember.. save it ALL!! that will at least help a little. y'know?

That's the problem, right there. I *DID* save it all. Now it's all gone, and everything I deleted earlier today, and purged from my trash, is now BACK in my trash. Not to mention still in my club like it was never deleted in the first place. In my opinion, this isn't "crap" I'm complaining about, it's pretty much legit. I puta lot of effort into redoing my club this afternoon, literally hours of work, and poof, all gone.

Just talked to a Linden in live help, and was told maybe it was on my end, a partial disconnection error. Only thing is, I logged out and in twice earlier during that work, and everything was just fine. I mentioned that and no reply from the Linden guy for a while, then suddenly he leaves the session. No answer, just leaves the session. Niiiice.

/rant

As for checking here to make sure everything's working smoothly before I build....... I'd never do anything, because there's always something wrong, seems.

And I'm almost positive because I'm new here and using a free account a number of yas are gonna start the "quit complaining" ream.

Whatever.

Sounds like a rollback...

As per the free account thing, I am estactic when I see free account holders who also create their own content. Good luck with your continuing project, and again, check the forums daily for info on potential issues!

A rollback..oh thats a possiblity. Someone may have needed to rollback the sim. Doesn't that affect anything that occured on the entire sim during that time?

Hmmmm I can think of a few conversations I would have liked rolled back and done over.

But sorry that happened to you. :(

The same thing has been happening to me. I have re-textured the same bit of ceiling 5 times. Live Help told me to go to Prefrences then Network tab and then Clean Cache. When I did this my lost inventory items came back. I haven't logged back in to see if my texturing job stayed in placed this time - but I think that it is all fixed now. Try that.

Now THAT is starting to sound like a connection problem of some kind.

Try this, go to three or four sandboxes and try to texture things at each, if some work and others don't it's possibly a sim issue, if none work, reset your routers and such and watch for lost packets in communication.

I think I saw Kelly Linden write that stuff is stored in the asset server by avatar name or key. So a problem in one of the asset server cluster computers would affect only one group of avatars. Not sure if that helps, though.
