I assume it means a jar that pools tips to several people, just like real life.
If there are three dancers who receive in tips: 300, 500, and 1200, and a DJ who receives 400, then at the end of the night they would all receive equal shares: 600 lindens each.

depends.
pure communist tip ball: all tips are collected and then shared amongst all workers according to the needs.
real communist tip ball: all tips go to the ball owner who then decides which of workers need some of this money, if any.

What is that? It's a tip ball that when you pay it, spreads the money equally between everybody present (16 max due LSL limits). The money that can't be spread evenly (say, L$10 between 16 people) is spread at random. Some time ago, somebody was trying the ball in Luskwood, but it didn't work correctly. I fixed it, and left it on the Luskwood platform for a while. Amazingly enough, somebody put L$16000 into it! I think I got at least L$2500 richer that day. If you want it, I think I still have it in the inventory. |
