What is it with the forum advanced search where there is a checkbox that says by default "Also search in child forums"? I uncheck it and the next time I search it is checked. I never see any "child forum" posts I don't think but I feel icky having that checked. And why is that an option?

If you aren't messing with me, that is just weird. They need to clarify the language.

A "parent" in programming terms is the base. A "child" is anything contained within or controlled by the parent.

Parent and Child are hierarchical terms. As in “The child primitives link to the parent primitive.”

From: SuezanneC Baskerville Did you click the Go button next to Save Search Ppreferences? Suezanne, no I didn't but now that I understand what the button means I don't want to. Thank you all for educating me as to the actual meaning of the checkbox.

SL is built on age play, I mean, people are constantly linking parent and child prims.
