I was wondering if everyone else had to turn on avatars, images, signatures, personal messages, and emails in their User CP like I had to. It's nothing particularly bad, but if it is this way for everyone, it does make it difficult to newbies to get the help they may be needing if they can't receive personal messages from anyone. Also the editor was set by default to one that you can't add images to. I made a silly assumption that these things just weren't allowed on this forum, but then I looked at my preferences. I was missing out on a lot of descriptive elements offered by images in posts.

Yup. I found it rather odd, and unlike any other VBulletin forum I had ever joined. For a few days I thought the pics in the pictures thread had all been removed, and that no one was allowed to have avatars.

Click 'quick links' near the top right of the forum. User CP stands for User Control Panel.

Err. They must have changed that default. I've never had to "enable" anything of that sort.

Why the heck would avatars be disabled by default? Teen friendliness guidelines, or something?
