Attention LL!

THIS is what happens when you try to give us a voice...all those 1-2 whiners who think they can bitch piss and moan about every flipping thing you do.

Seriously.......you guys have done well by allowing folks to have a say...but it's gotton out of hand...eventually you have to say....um this is NOT a democratic society. This is a business and if YOU...<insert name> don't like it........there's the fucking door.

Now that I think about it, you have said that..........and if not let me make it official...

<insert name> this is an OFFICIAL Linden response....or it would be if they could.....

Your most recent request for fairer terms has not fallen on deaf ears, we at Linden Lab strive to make your experience the best we can. While we acknowledge that all is not how you would like it, we would like to point out to you that while this is 'Your World and Your Imagination' you need to understand that we attempt to make EVERYONE'S SL experience better. But we can only do so much, and when someone whines incessantly it drains our resources.....so shut the fuck up! But thank you for writing and as always come again.

I will say while I don't agree w/ a number of things that have transpired lately and I enjoy the feeling the forums give me of being able to vent. I also know that this is NOT my call.

LL is a private company with an obligation to protect both their business and the experience of their users. While it's incredibly admirable that LL is so tolerant of and receptive to feedback from its customers, some customers obviously take it way too far and believe that they're entitled to something other than the service they're paying for. We pay LL for the right to access the grid, storage of our assets, and enforcement of the terms of service. Our monthly fees do not entitle us to a seat on the board of directors, or give us the right to berate, insult, or defame Linden Lab. It wouldn't in any way be unreasonable for LL to forcibly remove those people who make a career out of doing those three things on a daily basis. If you owned a brick and mortar store and had a few customers who stood around on the premises insulting your employees and trying to stir up dissent among your other customers you'd most likely throw them out of your place of business and not think twice about it.

We should all have the right to respectfully offer our opinions, suggestions, and feedback. None of us have the right to defame. LL is far more tolerant of it then I'd be in their shoes. There are a few people who rant on the forums that I'd have kicked to the curb a long time ago.
