How high is up?

I've flown as high as 4000 meters before I gave up and returned to the ground. What is the highest you can go? What can you do up that high anyway?

I won't ask what lies beyond the limits. Nope, that's like asking what lies beyond the boundaries of the universe. (I guess.)

What would be interesting though, would be if we actually had space beyond the planet. At least be able to reach orbit level.

I have been sent as high at 55,000,000 plus meters.

Nothing up there but blue.

When you get to a certain height {hundred thousands or millions}, the sky turns into a box, and your avatar becomes extremly jagged and will look like he/she is made out of square blocks. The higher you go, the more serious the effect.

The effect is called atmosphere, The higher you go less pressure you´re exposed to.

Using scripted catapults, I've reached 6 figure altitudes before.

I believe I was the first avatar to pass 2 billion meters (MAXINT, where my altimeter pegged out), in 1.6. Push was nerfed somewhat in 1.7 so my script hasn't been able to push me past 250 million meters since then.

Beatfox Xevious has documents much higher altitudes since then, using his own script.

You can see the results of some of this exploration in the "hangout", a lonely little skybox you can reach via the teleporter next to the horse trailer in Coonspiracy Central.

I read what I said, then read what you said. I repeated this about 10 times until I had to turn off the monitor and walk away before any serious brain damage could occur.

60,000 was my maximum. Didn't want to stay too long.

There is an altitute where the horizon is a beautiful shade of blue though.

Apart from the quiet and the stars ... not much reason to go up there.

Is it like a bad dream where you keep falling and falling?
